Carlo Alberto Ferraris 5bd7e9c54f net: enable TCP keepalives by default
This is just the first step in attempting to make all network connection have
timeouts as a "safe default". TCP keepalives only protect against certain
classes of network and host issues (e.g. server/OS crash), but do nothing
against application-level issues (e.g. an application that accepts connections
but then fails to serve requests).

The actual keep-alive duration (15s) is chosen to cause broken connections
to be closed after 2~3 minutes (depending on the OS, see #23549 for details).
We don't make the actual default value part of the public API for a number of
reasons:
- because it's not very useful by itself: as discussed in #23549 the actual
"timeout" after which the connection is torn down is duration*(KEEPCNT+1),
and we use the OS-wide value for KEEPCNT because there's currently no way
  to set it from Go.
- because it may change in the future: if users need to rely on a specific
value they should explicitly set this value instead of relying on the default.

Eugene Kalinin c659be4dc8 net: make cgo resolver work more accurately with network parameter
Unlike the go resolver, the existing cgo resolver exchanges both DNS A
and AAAA RR queries unconditionally and causes unreasonable connection
setup latencies to applications using the cgo resolver.

This change adds new argument (`network`) in all functions through the
series of calls: from Resolver.internetAddrList to cgoLookupIPCNAME.

Benefit: no redundant DNS calls if certain IP version is used IPv4/IPv6
(no `AAAA` DNS requests if used tcp4, udp4, ip4 network. And vice
versa: no `A` DNS requests if used tcp6, udp6, ip6 network)

Dan Peterson 5c0629b503 net: prefer error for original name on lookups
With certain names and search domain configurations the
returned error would be one encountered while querying a
generated name instead of the original name. This caused
confusion when a manual check of the same name produced
different results.

Now prefer errors encountered for the original name.

Also makes the low-level DNS connection plumbing swappable
in tests enabling tighter control over responses without
relying on the network.

Paul Marks 0d8366e2d6 net: add sequential and RFC 6555-compliant TCP dialing.
dialSerial connects to a list of addresses in sequence. If a
timeout is specified, then each address gets an equal fraction of the
remaining time, with a magic constant (2 seconds) to prevent
"dial a million addresses" from allotting zero time to each.

Normally, net.Dial passes the DNS stub resolver's output to dialSerial.
If an error occurs (like destination/port unreachable), it quickly skips
to the next address, but a blackhole in the network will cause the
connection to hang until the timeout elapses. This is how UNIXy clients
traditionally behave, and is usually sufficient for non-broken networks.

The DualStack flag enables dialParallel, which implements Happy Eyeballs
by racing two dialSerial goroutines, giving the preferred family a
head start (300ms by default). This allows clients to avoid long
timeouts when the network blackholes IPv4 xor IPv6.
