Ian Lance Taylor b0b1d42db3 all: change from sort functions to slices functions where feasible
Doing this because the slices functions are slightly faster and
slightly easier to use. It also removes one dependency layer.

This CL does not change packages that are used during bootstrap,
as the bootstrap compiler does not have the required slices functions.
It does not change the go/scanner package because the ErrorList
Len, Swap, and Less methods are part of the Go 1 API.

Fábio Mata cf06b1f1db net/url: fix missing handling for opaque value in ResolveReference method
The current implementation doesn't resolve as per spec RFC 3986 the case
where the base URL has an opaque value, and the reference doesn't have
either a scheme, authority or path. Currently, this specific case falls
back to the "abs_path" or "rel_path" cases, where the final path results
of the base_path being resolved relatively to the reference's, but since
the opaque value is stored independently, it needs a case of its own.

The algorith for resolving references is defined in RFC 3986 section 5.2.2:
https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc3986.html#section-5.2.2

Cherry Mui 41aab30bd2 all: add push linknames to allow legacy pull linknames
CL 585358 adds restrictions to disallow pull-only linknames
(currently off by default). Currently, there are quite some pull-
only linknames in user code in the wild. In order not to break
those, we add push linknames to allow them to be pulled. This CL
includes linknames found in a large code corpus (thanks Matthew
Dempsky and Michael Pratt for the analysis!), that are not
currently linknamed.

Updates #67401.

Russ Cox 4a1038fa52 Revert "net/url: consider an empty base Path as equivalent to / in JoinPath"
This reverts commit a46285f8c2 (CL 469935).

Reason for revert: This breaks a variety of code inside Google
that seem representative of possible external real-world usage.

If we roll this forward again we should include a GODEBUG like
urljoinpathslash=0 to go back to the old behavior.

Damien Neil a46285f8c2 net/url: consider an empty base Path as equivalent to / in JoinPath
A Path that starts with / is absolute.
A Path that starts with any other character is relative.

The meaning of a Path of "" is not defined,
but RequestURI converts a "" Path to "/"
and an empty Path may represent a URL with just
a hostname and no trailing / such as "http://localhost".

Handle empty paths in the base URL of JoinPath consistently with
RequestURI, so that joining to an empty base produces an absolute
path rather than a relative one.

	u, _ := url.Parse("http://localhost")
	u = u.JoinPath("x")
	fmt.Println(u.Path) // "/x", not "x"

Damien Neil 69ca0a859c Revert "net/url, net/http/httputil: accept invalid percent encodings"

Timothy Gu 81fea0b4fd net/url: consider ForceQuery in ResolveReference
Previously, when resolving references of form
  (https://golang.org/?hello).ResolveReference(?)
we only used URL.RawQuery to determine whether or not a query part is
defined. Go 1.7 introduced URL.ForceQuery as a flag for the situation
where a query part is provided but empty. But we did not use it in
ResolveReference. This leads to the erroneous output
  https://golang.org/?hello
when the correct output should be
  https://golang.org/?
This commit rectifies that error.

Returning an URL.String() without the password is very useful for
situations where the URL is supposed to be logged and the password is

This method re-uses URL.String() but with the password scrubbed and
substituted for a "xxxxx" in order to make it obvious that there was a
password. If the URL had no password then no "xxxxx" will be shown.

Stefan Baebler 64cfe9fe22 net/url: improve url parsing error messages by quoting
Current implementation doesn't always make it obvious what the exact
problem with the URL is, so this makes it clearer by consistently quoting
the invalid URL, as is the norm in other parsing implementations, eg.:
strconv.Atoi(" 123") returns an error: parsing " 123": invalid syntax

strings.IndexByte directly.

This reverts https://golang.org/cl/185080.

Reason for revert: some new changes are erroring again, so this broke the builders.
