Currently we have two code paths of writing the text segment. They
are semantically the same:
- if we split text sections, we write all ".text" sections as
text and the the rest as data.
- if we do not split text sections, we write the first section
as text and the rest as data. The first section is named ".text"
and is the only one in this case.
Unify the code.

Currently in the linker, for trampoline insertion it does a one-pass
approach, where it assigns addresses for each function and inserts
trampolines on the go. For this to work and not to emit too many
unnecessary trampolines, the functions need to be laid out in
dependency order, so a direct call's target is always as a known
address (or known to be not too far).
This mostly works, but there are a few exceptions:
- linkname can break dependency tree and cause cycles.
- in internal linking mode, on some platforms, some calls are turned
into calls via PLT, but the PLT stubs are inserted rather late.
Also, this is expensive in that it has to investigate all CALL
relocations.
This CL changes it to use a two-pass approach. The first pass is
just to assign addresses without inserting any trampolines, assuming
the program is not too big. If this succeeds, no extra work needs to
be done. If this fails, start over and insert trampolines for too-
far targets as well as targets with unknown addresses. This should
make it faster for small programs (most cases) and generate fewer
conservative trampolines.

In CL 240399 we changed to precompute the size for ELF relocation
records and use mmap to write them, but we left architectures
where elfreloc1 write non-fixed number of bytes. This CL handles
those architectures. When a Go relocation will turn into multiple
ELF relocations, in relocsym we account this difference and add
it to the size calculation. So when emitting ELF relocations, we
know the number of ELF relocations to be emitted.

Add linux/{ppc64,ppc64le} and aix/ppc64 arch support for the new
dodata() phase.
This completes the picture in terms of architecture support for the
new dodata(), but to be safe this patch leaves the command line flag
in place there are problems on the builders (especially given that we
have a dead aix-ppc64 builder).

Use mmap for writing most of the output file content,
specifically, the sections and segments. After layout, we
already know the sizes and file offsets for the sections and
segments. So we can just write the bytes by copying to a mmap'd
backing store.
The writing of the output file is split into two parts. The first
part writes the sections and segments to the mmap'd region. The
second part writes some extra content, for which we don't know
the size, so we use direct file IO.
This is in preparation for mmap'ing input files read-only.

As relocations on .text data aren't possible on AIX, Segrelrodata is
used to move all these datas to .data section.

FlagDataAddr is a vestige from git commit 0cafb9e (2008;
no Gerrit CL number).
It was never used but unfortunately setting it would
cause a spurious warning:
warning: -D<value> is ignored because of -R0x1000
yet if -R was unset e.g. -R=0, the linker would crash
with a divide by zero runtime panic.

Begin passing coutbuf by as a parameter. To make the initial plumbing
pass easier, it is also a field in the standard ctxt parameter.
Consolidate the byte writing functions into the OutBuf object.
The result is less architecture-dependent initialization.
To avoid plumbing out everywhere we want to report an error, move
handling of out file deletion to an AtExit function.

Now only cmd/asm and cmd/compile depend on cmd/internal/obj. Changing
the assembler backends no longer requires reinstalling cmd/link or
cmd/addr2line.
There's also now one canonical definition of the object file format in
cmd/internal/objabi/doc.go, with a warning to update all three
implementations.
objabi is still something of a grab bag of unrelated code (e.g., flag
and environment variable handling probably belong in a separate "tool"
package), but this is still progress.

This CL gives Linkmode a type, switches it to the standard flag
handling mechanism, and deduplicates some logic.
There is a semantic change in this CL. Previously if a link was
invoked explicitly with -linkmode=internal, any condition that forced
external linking would silently override this and use external
linking. Instead it now fails with a reason why. I believe this is an
improvement, but will change it back if there's disagreement.

The obj library's flag functions are (mostly) light wrappers
around the standard library flag package. Use the flag package
directly where possible.
Most uses of the 'count'-type flags (except for -v) only check
against 0, so they can safely be replaced by bools. Only -v
and the flagfns haven't been replaced.
Debug has been turned into a slice of bools rather than ints.
There was a copy of the -v verbosity in ctxt.Debugvlog, so don't use
Debug['v'] and just use ctxt.Debugvlog.

Ctxt is a global defined in cmd/link/internal/ld of type *ld.Link.
Start threading a *ld.Link through function calls instead of
relying on the global variable.
Ctxt is still used as a global by the architecture-specific packages,
but I plan to fix that in a subsequent CL.

Information about CPU architectures (e.g., name, family, byte
ordering, pointer and register size) is currently redundantly
scattered around the source tree. Instead consolidate the basic
information into a single new package cmd/internal/sys.
Also, introduce new sys.I386, sys.AMD64, etc. names for the constants
'8', '6', etc. and replace most uses of the latter. The notable
exceptions are a couple of error messages that still refer to the old
char-based toolchain names and function reltype in cmd/link.
Passes toolstash/buildall.

The new Minalign field sets the minimum alignment for all symbols.
This is required for the upcoming s390x port which requires symbols
be 2-byte aligned for efficient relative addressing.
All preexisting architectures have Minalign set to 1 which means
that this commit should have no effect.
I tested values of 2, 4 and 8 on linux amd64 and the tests appear to
pass. Increasing Minalign to 16 appears to break the runtime. I
think this is due to assumptions made about the layout of module
data.
toolstash -cmp on linux amd64 shows no changes due to this commit.

The PowerPC ISA does not have a PC-relative load instruction, which poses
obvious challenges when generating position-independent code. The way the ELFv2
ABI addresses this is to specify that r2 points to a per "module" (shared
library or executable) TOC pointer. Maintaining this pointer requires
cooperation between codegen and the system linker:
* Non-leaf functions leave space on the stack at r1+24 to save the TOC pointer.
* A call to a function that *might* have to go via a PLT stub must be followed
by a nop instruction that the system linker can replace with "ld r1, 24(r1)"
to restore the TOC pointer (only when dynamically linking Go code).
* When calling a function via a function pointer, the address of the function
must be in r12, and the first couple of instructions (the "global entry
point") of the called function use this to derive the address of the TOC
for the module it is in.
* When calling a function that is implemented in the same module, the system
linker adjusts the call to skip over the instructions mentioned above (the
"local entry point"), assuming that r2 is already correctly set.
So this changeset adds the global entry point instructions, sets the metadata so
the system linker knows where the local entry point is, inserts code to save the
TOC pointer at 24(r1), adds a nop after any call not known to be local and copes
with the odd non-local code transfer in the runtime (e.g. the stuff around
jmpdefer). It does not actually compile PIC yet.

Everything else in those directories is a move followed by
change of imports and package name.
