Cherry Zhang a866df2671 cmd/internal/obj/arm64: materialize float constant 0 from zero register
Materialize float constant 0 from integer zero register, instead
of loading from constant pool.

Also fix assembling FMOV from zero register to FP register.

Cherry Zhang 698bfa17a8 cmd/internal/obj: save link register in leaf function with non-empty frame on PPC64, ARM64, S390X
The runtime traceback code assumes non-empty frame has link
link register saved on LR architectures. Make sure it is so in
the assember.

Also make sure that LR is stored before update SP, so the traceback
code will not see a half-updated stack frame if a signal comes
during the execution of function prologue.

Fixes #17381.

Cherry Zhang 4c9a372946 runtime, cmd/internal/obj: get rid of rewindmorestack
In the function prologue, we emit a jump to the beginning of
the function immediately after calling morestack. And in the
runtime stack growing code, it decodes and emulates that jump.
This emulation was necessary before we had per-PC SP deltas,
since the traceback code assumed that the frame size was fixed
for the whole function, except on the first instruction where
it was 0. Since we now have per-PC SP deltas and PCDATA, we
can correctly record that the frame size is 0. This makes the
emulation unnecessary.

This may be helpful for registerized calling convention, where
there may be unspills of arguments after calling morestack. It
also simplifies the runtime.

Dave Cheney d61c07ffd8 cmd/link/internal, cmd/internal/obj: introduce ctxt.Logf
Replace the various calls to Fprintf(ctxt.Bso, ...) with a helper,
ctxt.Logf. This also addresses the various inconsistent flushing of
ctxt.Bso.

Because we have two Link structures, add Link.Logf in both places.

Dave Cheney 3167ff7ca9 cmd/internal/*: only call ctx.Bso.Flush when something has been written
In many places where ctx.Bso.Flush is used as the target for some debug
logging, ctx.Bso.Flush is called unconditionally. In the majority of
cases where debug logging is not enabled, this means Flush is called
many times when there is nothing to be flushed (it will be called anyway
when ctx.Bso is eventually closed), sometimes in a loop.

Avoid this by moving the ctx.Bso.Flush call into the same condition
block as the debug print. This pattern was previously applied
sporadically.

Cherry Zhang 748aa84424 [dev.ssa] cmd/internal/obj/arm64: fix encoding constant into some instructions
When a constant can be encoded in a logical instruction (BITCON), do
it this way instead of using the constant pool. The BITCON testing
code runs faster than table lookup (using map):

(on AMD64 machine, with pseudo random input)
BenchmarkIsBitcon-4   	300000000	         4.04 ns/op
BenchmarkTable-4      	50000000	        27.3 ns/op

The equivalent C code of BITCON testing is formally verified with
model checker CBMC against linear search of the lookup table.

Also handle cases when a constant can be encoded in a MOV instruction.
In this case, materializa the constant into REGTMP without using the
constant pool.

When constants need to be added to the constant pool, make sure to
check whether it fits in 32-bit. If not, store 64-bit.

Both legacy and SSA compiler backends are happy with this.

Matthew Dempsky c6e11fe037 cmd: add new common architecture representation
Information about CPU architectures (e.g., name, family, byte
ordering, pointer and register size) is currently redundantly
scattered around the source tree. Instead consolidate the basic
information into a single new package cmd/internal/sys.

Also, introduce new sys.I386, sys.AMD64, etc. names for the constants
'8', '6', etc. and replace most uses of the latter. The notable
exceptions are a couple of error messages that still refer to the old
char-based toolchain names and function reltype in cmd/link.

Passes toolstash/buildall.

Brad Fitzpatrick 5fea2ccc77 all: single space after period.
The tree's pretty inconsistent about single space vs double space
after a period in documentation. Make it consistently a single space,
per earlier decisions. This means contributors won't be confused by
misleading precedence.

This CL doesn't use go/doc to parse. It only addresses // comments.
It was generated with:

Dave Cheney 3578bdf3c3 internal/obj/arm64: remove CASE and BCASE
Fixes #10994

CASE and BCASE were used by 7c in switch statements, cmd/compile
does not use them, cmd/assemble couldn't assemble them, and the arm64
peephole optimiser didn't know about them.

Russ Cox 034a10d44c cmd/internal/obj/arm64: reject misaligned stack frames, except empty frames
The layout code has to date insisted on stack frames that are 16-aligned
including the saved LR, and it ensured this by growing the frame itself.
This breaks code that refers to values near the top of the frame by positive
offset from SP, and in general it's too magical: if you see TEXT xxx, $N,
you expect that the frame size is actually N, not sometimes N and sometimes N+8.

This led to a serious bug in the compiler where ambiguously live values
were not being zeroed correctly, which in turn triggered an assertion
in the GC about finding only valid pointers. The compiler has been
fixed to always emit aligned frames, and the hand-written assembly
has also been fixed.

Now that everything is aligned, make unaligned an error instead of
something to "fix" silently.

Russ Cox 0a3c991fd3 cmd/internal/obj: fix pc/sp information for prologue
When the prologue call to morestack was moved down to the
bottom of the function, the pc/sp tables were not updated.
If a traceback through a call to morestack is needed, it would
get confused at and stop at morestack.

Confirmed the fix by adding //go:systemstack (which calls
morestackc, but same issue) where it did not belong
and inspecting the crash.

Static branch prediction guesses that forward branches aren't taken.
Since stacks are rarely grown, make the forward branch mean grow.

While we're here, remove the debug-only instruction
saving the frame size in the temp register.

Dave Cheney e9ab343f0e cmd/internal/obj: clean up Biobuf
This is a follow up to rev 443a32e707 which reduces some of the
duplication between methods and functions that operate on obj.Biobuf.

obj.Biobuf has Flush and Write methods as well as helpers which duplicate
those methods, consolidate on the former and remove the latter.

Also, address a final comment from CL 9525.

Rob Pike 6ca91d264f cmd/internal/obj/arm64: delete needless closure in for claus
A residue of the automatic translation, this closure is easily rewritten
to a simpler, smaller, and faster construct.

Discovered while analyzing #10269, which I still plan to fix.

Russ Cox 532ccae154 cmd/internal/obj: replace Addr.U struct {...} with Val interface{}
An interface{} is more in the spirit of the original union.
By my calculations, on 64-bit systems this reduces
Addr from 120 to 80 bytes, and Prog from 592 to 424 bytes.

Aram Hăvărneanu 26bbe7ac9b cmd/internal/obj, cmd/internal/obj/arm64: add support for GOARCH=arm64
ARM64 (ARMv8) has 32 general purpose, 64-bit integer registers
(R0-R31), 32 64-bit scalar floating point registers (F0-F31), and
32 128-bit vector registers (unused, V0-V31).

R31 is either the stack pointer (RSP), or the zero register (ZR),
depending on the instruction. Note the distinction between the
hardware stack pointer, RSP, and the virtual stack pointer SP.

The (hardware) stack pointer must be 16-byte aligned at all times;
the RSP register itself must be aligned, offset(RSP) only has to
have natural alignment.

Instructions are fixed-width, and are 32-bit wide. ARM64 supports
ARMv7 too (32-bit ARM), but not in the same process. In general,
there is not much in common between 32-bit ARM and ARM64, it's a
new architecture.

All implementations have floating point instructions.

This change adds a Prog.To3 field analogous to Prog.To. It is used
by exclusive load/store instructions such as STLXR which read from
one register, and write to both a register and a memory address.

	STLXRW	R1, (R0), R3

This will store the word contained in R1 to the memory address
pointed by R0. R3 will be updated with the status result of the
store. It is used to implement atomic operations.

No other changes are made to the portable Prog and Addr structures.
